OMG Shoes

Someone wrote…

There’s a small part of me that adores cute shoes and would not hesitate to spend hundreds of dollars for a single pair. But then there’s a large part of me that would never, ever wear those shoes.

I think my inner butch is oppressing my inner femme. Either that or I prefer wearing comfortable shoes.

Anything like this in your life?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

This made me laugh & smile in such an honest, open way. Reading disarming words like yours is helping me open up & be less afraid of all my own layers & nuances.

    Diversity is amazing & precious.

I’m exactly the same way about shoes…lol. Well, maybe I wouldn’t want to spend hundreds on one pair, but all the cute high heels in the shoe store catch my eye even though I wouldn’t wear them. I actually personally like some “feminine” things even though I mostly wear more butchy stuff and I don’t like people viewing me as feminine. Trying to dress for my internal gender is nerve-wracking sometimes because nothing quite fits. I also have to take into consideration what gender other people will treat me as when I wear certain things.
