Double standard.

Someone wrote…

I think my parents should quit shoving their double standards down my throat. If I have to dress to show off my body, why shouldn’t my brothers have to do the same?

How does gender inequality play a role in your androgyny? How do you deal with the double standard? What standards are men held up to that women should be subjected to as well?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

Sometimes I wish that I could walk down the street and make rude physical comments to men, and have them feel the way I feel when they hoot at me.

I think I’m about going to publicly announce my gender ambiguity tomorrow at the college drag show.
