Profile: Hayden

Hayden

You can call me… Hayden.

I identify as… a human being outside the confines of gender, defined not by biology but by my capacity to love and be loved.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … I like ‘ze’ and ‘hir’ but am fairly flexible. I understand that it is hard for most people to adjust to unfamiliar pronouns.

I’m attracted to… confidence, compassion, and activism.

When people talk about me, I want them to… respect who I am and where I’m coming from just the same as I will when I talk about them.

I want people to understand… that I am strong, resilient and more than any terminology that could be used to define me.

About Hayden
I am a transgender, Jewish, kind of crazy individual. I paint, write poetry, and play the violin and bagpipes. I currently live in a residential treatment program for young adults with mental illness.

Woah, I’m in a transitional living program for young adults with mental illness. I’d love to chat with you about your experiences. I’m struggling being here and being genderqueer. edbreche@netscape.net
