As far as third-person pronouns go, … Anything that isn’t a female pronoun — female pronouns make me itch. Gender-neutral are fine, as are male pronouns. If I’m dressed and presenting as a male, male pronouns are preferred.

I’m attracted to… Intelligence, uniqueness and a sense of humor. People who bend or break rules and boundaries are a plus and gender ambiguity, tattoos or piercings are an added bonus.

When people talk about me, I want them to… Realize there’s a lot more to me than my gender, but also that my gender and presentation are not there to be humored or brushed off. It is as much a part of me as it is a part of anyone.

I want people to understand… There is so much more to gender than what is perceived. Gender as performance, as rebellion, as liberation, whereby no one should be confined to a box simply because documents and letters say so. Realize that the M and the F may be there for legal purposes, but as individuals, we have the freedom to deviate in whatever way we wish away from two little boxes into a whole new universe of diversity.
