Willow

You can call me… Willow/Wil/Blue/Bloo/bl00

I identify as… Queer. Gender-wise, sexuality-wise, etc. I used to go for bisexual until I realized there are way more than two sexes.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … I’m pleased as punch when people take a moment to decide what to use. I don’t care what they end up going with, so long as some thought went into it.

I’m attracted to… People involved with their environments. Also robots and cyborgs.

When people talk about me, I want them to… Talk about the things I accomplish and the communities I help create.

I want people to understand… I will smother you with understanding and compassion if you can’t face the things and people you don’t understand in the world.

Also, some of us are lucky enough to have the androgynous bodies we feel comfortable in. Some are not. My favorite boobalicious lady-friend is actually a dirty old man. I think that’s way more fun.

About Willow
I’m from the midwest, moved to the promised land of Seattle. I believe in expressing one’s self without getting in people’s faces. I believe in uniting under a flag but not using it as your main identity. “Me” should be your main identity.

I have had the pleasure of being photographed by Libby Bulloff on a number of occassions. The latest gender-fuck goodness: click. I also run a Transhumanist discussion group, am the director of an emerging maker space, and train parkour. I love my life, and I love people.

Excellent photograph and profile, and may I just compliment you, sir or madam, on simply being yourself?

Why thank you. It’s taken a long time to figure it out, and it’s always changing, but I’m happier now than I’ve ever been.

I live in the Midwest now, though luckily in a city big enough to have a few other genderqueers floating around. Though I think most of us want to run off to the coasts as well. I have little constructive to say here except ‘keep on doing what you’re doing’ and *swoon*.
