Since 1979, the Radical Faeries have been practicing queer-themed spirituality through art, faerie gatherings (not PG-rated), and public demonstrations (and hugs!).

Addendum in honor of my once-miseducated mother who raised us listening to Dr.Laura* :
The Radical Faeries do honor the work of their co-fathers John Burnside and Harry Hay. The also do denounce Harry's infamous advocacy for NAMBLA.
*whose voice I can still hear spitting out "homosexuals-and-pedophiles" over the airwaves as a single word

My housemate is a radical fairy, we have them here in Australia also, lovely, beautiful, amazing men (who run wicked dance balls)
