Hatshepsut: Man and Woman
A documentary video

I have always been fascinated with historical accounts of gender bending/blending, particularly those of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs Hatshepsut and Akhenaten. Hatshepsut was a woman who proclaimed herself Pharaoh, a position reserved only for men, by changing her own history and presenting herself as a man. Akhenaten was a male whose depictions of himself were always overtly feminine, with the wide hips and narrow waist of a woman.
