They just know what they see.

Someone wrote…

I wish I could dress how I feel. I wish I could act as I like.

I wish I didn’t have to pretend and lie and make up stories just to make people feel okay with me. I know I have people who love me, but every time I meet someone new, I’m afraid of the judgments they’re making about me. Because they don’t know me. They just know what they see.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

One Response to “They just know what they see.”

I do always have to wonder about what new people I meet assume about me from my appearance. It’s annoying.
