Allied compassion

As part of the It Gets Better Project, Ava reaches out to trans teens and remembers the best friend she lost. (Chaz Bono contributes, too)

This video is the sweetest thing. You remind me so much of my best friend, who supports me in all the ways I’m sure you supported Aiden. I’m sorry he had to go through so much horrible stuff, it’s not right.

There is song sung by Nomali Brennet called “Find a Light”. I encourage all trans folks to listen to it if you are not already familiar with it.

It’s sad that he wasn’t able to hang on any longer. Ava seems like a really good person. The post mentioned that Chaz Bono made a video but Buck Angel made a really good video too.

I’m a transman who is still in highschool and I sent this video to my best friend who is also very supportive of me. It really hit home when I saw how much Ava loved Aiden and how much she cared. It made me remember my girl and how much she’s done for me.

There are no words to explain how brave and how loving that girl is.
