Januar writes, “The only pic I have right now that was taken of me on the set of an artistic independent film I made with Craig Zarah and Debbie Harry and some cool Warhol and Bowie scene people. It was an expressionistic abstract narrative story, in which I had the lead. I’m male, and I was sincerely portraying a young woman. The original film (in a rough unfinished ‘test’ cut) had a cult following in the downtown NY scene. Currently, it is not yet available, as it was damaged in storage and was never finished in editing…. With some funding and time, it may yet be seen!”

Warhol and Bowie people, gender bending, and indie film? Sounds like my kind of scene! You look lovely, by the way.

thanks!
yes, hung w debbie harry. sang and danced (choreographed) w her and blondie, in warhol play director tony ingrassia’s production of jackie curtis’s “vain victory”. silent film star and writer louise brooks was a great inspiration for my look. like her i am a dancer. jonas mekas curated at anthology film archive another film i made w her look, “beggars of lake”. jonas was a friend of louise’s, and wrote her of my film (i co-directed as well).
i continue to dance, and more. just moved to cal..
