Profile: Vanessa Lynne
You can call me… Vanessa Lynne, Lady Vanessa, Vanni
I identify as… trans-woman, just plain woman, lady, girl, femme, lesbian
As far as third-person pronouns go, … it makes me so very happy when I am referred to in feminine terms… she, her, etc.
I’m attracted to… strong and feminist women, woman athletes, woman folk/rock musicians
When people talk about me, I want them to… be respectful of where I am in my life and gender journey, and to not be judgmental of me. I will do the same for them.
I want people to understand… I did not ask to be made the way I am and am doing my best to deal with it.
About Vanessa Lynne
Vanessa is an academic faculty librarian at a midwestern university. The one with the Maize and Blue sports uniforms. She is really into rock/folk/blues music (Grateful Dead, Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Bob Dylan, etc), women’s sports, postmodern/feminist/anarchist/socialist theory and practice, various and sundry pop culture phenomena, Wicca/Goddess worship, and whatever other interesting things come down the pike.

Go blue to Ms. Vanessa Lynne! I’m a student at this university too. Which library are you at? I hope to stop by and say hi!
