Really comfortable.

I’m MtF-bodied, and when I was physically male I hated going shirtless, but now I actually feel really comfortable in a fun-colored bra and jeans.
What’s your experience?

‘MTF-bodied’. I really like that. I am officially going by ‘FTM-bodied’ now. Or maybe trans-bodied… :)

I love going in just bra. It is really empowering for me.

I’m excited to feel that way when I can go shirtless. Sadly, I’m not there yet, but someday!

I agree. Someday I will be able to walk around shirtless. Someday I will have the confidence to wear just a white t shirt instead of at least three.

Some women come to feel their bras are part of the cage they were placed in as women by men – symbols of their supposed inferiority (to men). They find if difficult therefore to understand someone wanting to wear a bra or being more comfortable in a bra.

But on the other hand, queer/transpeople of any type completely understand how empowering it can be to claim the stereotypical trappings of one’s chosen gender identity. What’s always amazed and pleased me is that there seems to be little to no resentment of transpeople moving in different directions on the gender spectrum. Half of us are leaving behind what the other half is seeking, but we meet long enough in the middle that we understand we’re on the same journey.

Yes, very true. It is sad when people who have been moving along that spectrum show just as much intolerance as other people who’ve never moved from their appointed place on it. Some people are meant for that middle, it’s their end destination. Nothing wrong in wherever you are on it.
