A Complicated Business

Someone wrote…

I feel like gender is very complicated – and the labeling of it is even more so.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

Agreed – and we’re still figuring it out. But I’m confident that eventually we’ll have a framework in place that accurately labels and recognizes all of our diversity.

labels are things we hang on ourselves while we get used to whatever thing has been newly discovered within. with a goal of continued personal growth, labels don’t serve to further us. they serve more as a snare to retard our growth.

when choosing a label, choose one that has very fluid boundaries, like maybe, “human” or possibly, “god”.
