At the Same Time

Someone wrote…

“Sometimes I want and need to be a boy, but I also love being a girl at the same time…”

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I want to be me. Boy/Girl/Man/Woman – all are inadequate to express who I am. Human works, but folks want more precision. Today, I will be who I am today and you will like it or hate it as you choose. It’s sad that people let other people define them so much because that definition is an illusion.

This is me, except .. I rarely /LOVE/ being a girl. The want to be a boy isn’t constant. 1/3 of the time I want to be a boy. 1/3 of the time I’m okay as a girl. 1/3 of the time I don’t really think about it or I don’t notice my own gender.

Totally get this. It’s confusing when you choose something to wear in the morning and kinda change your mind halfway through the day. It sucks but it’s also nice because I have much more to choose from than most people that identify with only one gender.

But I am also strongly on the boy side, and I lean on the girl side every once in a while.
