    Its beautiful. I consider myself fortunate that I don’t relate. One of my parents doesn’t get it but they freely and explicitly admit that it could very well just be them and that it all actually makes sense. Based on what they say, I would not be surprised if they are actually genderless and that is why they don’t understand the idea of gender identity at all (though this could very well not be the case).

    I posted this on my FaceBook with a comment about how beautiful, powerful and heartbreaking it was. My mother commented on my post with, “Heartbreaking for all parties concerned.” Way to make the whole thing more heartbreaking there, mom.
