In Our House…

Someone wrote…

Anybody looking for nice, clear-cut gender expression is going to be disappointed in our household.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

One Response to “In Our House…”

My parents frequently blended bender roles, and each us us kids learned to be comfortable blending roles ourselves, each learning both masculine and feminine roles: Mom and Dad were quite egalitarian, and they set a wonderful example.

In my own family, my wife and I are very egalitarian and blend roles. Unlike our birth families, however, we are both transgender, and it’s mostly a ‘nature’ thing, we think. While our son understands our TG-ness, he is clearly cisgendered.

But, TG aside, you could think of each of us as being ‘Gender Complete,’ since we each have significant, good characteristics of both genders. :-)
