“Today I am Alex. Today is a male day. I’m bigender / genderfluid and have male and female days. Generally I wake up and know what I am; it changes frequently.”

I don’t know if I’m gonna make it. I’m so weary of being the odd one out. I’m tired of being misgendered. I’m sick of people judging me for the ways I express myself. I feel lost and alone, surrounded by heartless, thoughtlessly cruel people. Does it get better?

“A photo of me expressing the ambiguity and strong expression of my gender(s). It’s nothing but a word. I express myself in the way I deem beautiful.”

You can call me… Asher Lavet.
I identify as… a genderfluid pansexual who really enjoys lucky charms.
As far as third-person pronouns go, … gender neutral is fine. I prefer they, their, them because they are words that are already incorporated into the English language. I’m also fond of masculine terms like “handsome” or “sir.”
I’m attracted to… giant alien robots and people who sing while performing mundane tasks.
When people talk about me, I want them to… smile.
I want people to understand… personal space. Everyone’s a person. The Doctor is flawed. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus is a great movie once you get past the title.
About Asher Lavet
I’m a geek who likes video games, android phones, and science fiction. As a writer, i would like to inform you to be careful of what you say to me as it could end up in a poem. I’m not fond of shoes or socks.

“I was confused about my gender one day and decided I was a boy for the next few hours. I was home alone, so I stripped off my shirt, donned a hat I crocheted, and pranced around half naked. Ended up taking this picture to document the freeing experience.”

As soon as I settle on femininity I miss masculinity. When I shoot for masculinity, I envy all things feminine. Often times, I feel like my body, because of its shape, its size, can never fit into femininity, masculinity, or androgyny. I feel like fat is a fourth category.
It interests me that so much to do with gender has nothing to do with gender.

“This is me in 1988, building a fort with leftover wood from our house being built. I remember wanting those red Oshkosh overalls with tools printed on them. My Mom bought them for me. My parents never judged me; they just loved me and supported me. I am very thankful for that.”

You want to label me as either male or female. But as I look in the mirror and see lipstick on my lips, liner on my eyes, binding on my chest, and what you would call “male clothing”, I see neither and both. So the only label I will give you is “myself”.
