Name

Someone wrote…

My 5-year-old did something I have not been brave enough to do: give myself a male name. He just started calling me James yesterday. The first time he said it, I had to get him to repeat just to make sure I heard correctly. I asked him why he called me James. He said “it just suits you.” God how I love that child.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

It sounds like you’re doing something right. Raise more children!

Excellent- he still has clear enough vision (no social ‘clouding’ yet) to see you for your true essence. What a great story…and if you choose to adopt the name James as yours, if asked how you arrived at this you could proudly say, “I named my son, and he named me”

Awwww! What a cute kid! And perceptive, too. He knows a “James” when he sees one. (It’s a good name, by the way. I recommend it.)
