“In my mind there is nothing more feminine than makeup and emotions. I can play in make up for a picture, but there are people who feel so much stronger about gender issues; people who live it daily and unabashedly and BEAUTIFULLY. It’s astounding. And that gets me thinking about how much more beautiful and complicated and ‘unboxable’ life is. It amazes me.”
