Out!

Someone wrote…

I am out! I told my aunt that I am NOT a woman anymore, but that I am not sure where this will lead to… is this out? I know this is just a step of many, this is just a bridge to telling them to use male pronouns, but I am glad I could start to communicate it after two years of working it out on my own…

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I think “Out” is being yourself as you are without paying attention to any alleged retribution that the world may slam you with. In my experience, the consequences you fear are almost always way bigger and badder than what actually happens.

Yes, in hindsight I’m wondering why I put stuff off for so long; most (though not all!) things turned out so much easier than I thought…
