Quietly thrilled

Someone wrote…

I’ve always identified as genderqueer, but I am becoming more confused about the direction I am headed in. Lately I’ve been packing at night. It makes me nervous but excited at the same time. Quietly thrilled. I wish I knew what this meant — I wish I knew where to go from here.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

My advice? Don’t dismiss it; don’t obsess over it. Jumping to conclusions before you have enough data will just end in confusion! You’re genderqueer; maybe you’re genderfluid, or maybe you’re headed toward masculine, but does it really matter that much either way? You are who you are; just be yourself and listen to yourself, and enjoy experimenting.

You should get a partner. Then packing at night is REALLY fun!
