Someone wrote…

I do not fear others reaction to my showing of my gender outwardly when I am alone.

However, when I am with my wife and daughter I do fear them having to deal with others reaction to me.

I dream of and wish for the day that I can just be me without worry.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I know how you feel. I feel less inclined to bind or dress masculinly when going out with family. Though I know they accept and support me, I’m still afraid of embarrassing them as soon as I open my mouth and a fem voice comes out.

It’s always hard with family – mine are supportive of me, but I know that there are issues, real and potential, if they are out with me.
