Question: Genderqueer “wife” alternative

Jack asks…

Ok lovely gender resource! I’m looking for a new genderqueer title instead of “wife” which reflects my married status. Any suggestions?

I use “husbandwife” or “wifehusband” :)

Spouse? Alternate between husband and wife? Whatever the hell you want? :)

Non-binary person here! I’ve been getting into the habit of using ‘partner’.

“Spouse” and “partner” are very very commonly used.

In our case, we typically use ‘spouse’ in the context of being married and ‘partner’ if we’re talking in the context of being polyamorous.

“Partner” can be used for everyone, no matter what their gender or sexual orientation.
