Is it Okay?

Someone wrote…

Is it okay to get angry after dealing with people not going with your prefered** gender for a long time?

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I mean, it’s not wrong. Your feelings are legitimate. But how you express it, it could depend. Is the person making a sincere effort? Or just rejecting it altogether? If it’s the latter, as someone whose mother still actively rejects my identity, you can either ignore it and let them slowly become a minority so they end up being the odd one out, or confront them. I recommend trying to find another emotion to dig up other than straight up anger either way.

This person could be strugglin to use your preferred name, pronouns, etc., and if they are, it’s natural to get frustrated (or just want to SMITE THEM DOWN), but if they are actually making an effort, cut them some slack.
If this persons’ being a bigot, it’s even more inevitable you’ll be frustrated.
Smiting is wrong, and it depend on what kind of person you are.
But if they’re doing it on purpose, and you can get away with it….
YOUR TIME HAS COME. STAB CAESAR.
    smite em down ;)
