Joe

This song and much more from Coyote Grace: “guitarist Joe Stevens, a transman from Northern California” and “upright bassist Ingrid Elizabeth, a sassy femme originally hailing from the hills of Southeastern Ohio.”

Nice to see Joe on Genderfork. I like Coyote Grace’s music and I am looking forward to see them perform next time they are in my hometown.

its great everytime i hear their music. strangely enough, joe and i went to two of the same schools. one was only for girls…and the other an art school. seeing joe at the all-girls school before he was ‘a guy named joe’ was very rewarding to me as then she was an out lesbian and i, a very closeted one who feared my sexuality and couldn’t even fathom the issues i would later have defining my own gender. while it’s not the same track as joe steven’s…it’s certainly an exploration that is hard to put into words which is why communicating through art was so helpful in defining me and i suppose i can say, defining us.
