AllyMom asks…

My child is 20 and I am certain (though months of detective work) she is gender variant and out to all her friends. All I want to do is help her and I think talking about it will be of benefit to both of us. Should I wait for her to tell me, or should I go ahead and ask?

Question: not a woman or misogynous

Alex asks…

I’m a genderqueer person born female and I’m wondering how much of my refusal of femininity comes from internalised sexism. Any ideas?

Question: How to ask

Anonymous asks…

My biologically female friend binds her chest, wears male clothing, and cuts her hair short. She hasn’t given much indication that she wants to be male, but I want to know if that’s what would make her happy. How should I find how she identifies, or if she wants me to use different pronouns?

Question: Can we talk?

Dez asks…

I’m at that really awkward stage where I know that I’m trans, I dress like I’m trans, but I haven’t actually come out to everyone. The moment never seems right.

How do I start this conversation with them or with anyone?

Question: Gender-neutral family names

Cydne asks…

We have gender-neutral pronouns now. Any suggestions for gender-neutral terms for brother/sister, son/daughter, niece/nephew, aunt/uncle and mother/father? Something more “queer” sounding than just “sibling” or “parent.”
