Ames

You can call me… Ames.

I identify as… Myself. (Which is all together too complicated a thing to really put into words, isn’t it?)

As far as third-person pronouns go, … I have been referred to as just about everything. Some people even ping-pong between the masculine and feminine in the same sentence. (I pity the eavesdroppers sometimes. Poor things must get awfully confused.) Online, I am almost exclusively identified with the masculine pronoun.

I’m attracted to… Minds and hearts, regardless of what the possessor may be or identify as.

When people talk about me, I want them to… Talk about my accomplishments, talents, personality, strengths and, yes, even weaknesses. But, if they feel like they must linger on issues like gender, I hope that the people who know me learn that life is more than just black and white. We live in a world full of colour and you should never ever be afraid to look around because you might find something beautiful.

I want people to understand… That one of the hardest things to do in life is to love yourself for who you are, were, or what you may even become–but the struggle is so very worth it.

About Ames
I am an artist, student and teacher that is still stuck somewhere between the 70s and 80s and sporting a Ziggy Stardust inspired mullet to prove it.
I am nearly a quarter of a century old and have an incurable case of wanderlust.
I was inspired by someone brave to make this profile.
