Profile: Tiara

Dark-skinned woman with a flower in her curly hair, wearing a low-cut polka-dotted dress with a red wraparound skirt, looking down.

You can call me… Tiara

I identify as… a queer pansexual polyamorous woman of awesome.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … “she,” please.

I’m attracted to… cuddles, redheads, women in power, redhead women in power (oy, my weakness), voices (queer people have the BEST voices, I swear), silly humour, lanky femmy-looking guys with eyeliner, powerful women. Though, I am often surprised.

When people talk about me, I want them to… pay attention to *me*, not my race. and not make assumptions about me and my gender/sexuality just because I happen to be “foreign.”

I want people to understand… that there are more representations of queer than relatively-narrow Western models will allow.

About Tiara
tiara the merch girl. kinsey 4.5. pansexual polyamorous seeking to make that less theoretical. performance artist, creative producer, creatrix of awesome. brisbane, australia. perpetual foreigner. http://themerchgirl.net

Labels are Strange to Me.

Someone wrote…

Labels are strange to me. “Transgender” feels weird enough coming out of my mouth, let alone something as abrasively in-your-face as “genderqueer.” Ultimately, the only labelthat I’m truly comfortable with is “Me”.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

Profile: Deetz

Person with messy hair wearing headphones and round glasses making a face at something offscreen.

You can call me… Deetz, ozzy/ozwald (once transitioned), or victor, cannot seem to decide on the two yet.

I identify as… TransMan, I would most likely prefer just male though.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … He him, sir, guy, man, boss, awesomesauce

I’m attracted to… rarely take attraction, but when do, women. Has to have some related thing to my likings too, such as a certain style, and art. so on.

When people talk about me, I want them to… call me by what i am, not what they have seen me born as.
not think i’m some lesbian who’s afraid of men.

I want people to understand… You don’t have to be a stereotypical male (football, sexsexsex, beer, beating on someone, rough rrrhhhg muscly) to actually be male.

About Deetz
Hello fellow gentlemen and ladies, born in the country of tea and crumpets, my obsessions are anything of the Victorian era. no, not steampunk.
I am an illustrator/comic artist. which i soon hope to be one day.
i am sadly mostly under stealth and would PREFER no one knew i was a transgender, and just a man, but trans friends are most encouraging and coooool.

Tan Lined Gender

Someone wrote…

I feel more gendered by my tan lines than by my breasts. My breasts are part of MY body. My tan lines are signs of what my society incorrectly thinks about that body.

What’s your experience?

Profile: Hannahboo

Pale person with long reddish hair, wearing eyeliner and smiling at the camera.

You can call me… Hannahboo

I identify as…Gender fluid.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … Feminine ones.

I’m attracted to… Mostly confident women. Both feminine girly types and androgynous types. Personality is what captures me. Not gender.

When people talk about me, I want them to… Realize that their opinions don’t affect me or who I am. I’m happy with myself and the life I lead. No approval is needed.

I want people to understand… Gender isn’t just something you’re born and assigned with. Neither is sexuality. People have a right to choose where they fit and what is comfortable to them. It doesn’t matter if it makes you comfortable or not. Just as long as the person living that way is happy.

About Hannahboo
-> 21
-> Gender fluid Engaged to the most amazing woman in the planet.
-> Determined to live my life outside of the box society tries to put us in.
