    You look so like a friend I had in school who found an abandoned piano in the woods and learned to play it like a hard and then taught himself to play excellent jazz piano improvisationally, though he couldn’t read a note of music.

    People whispered that he was gay, he didn’t deny it. He didn’t confirm it either, not to me. We used to go swimming down in the rapids on the river when it was way too hot.

    Good times. Sometimes I wonder what happened to him. I don’t even remember his name, but I remember the song in his heart.
