Profile: Jamie

You can call me… Jamie.

I identify as… a weird, queer, femme transboy.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … only the male ones work with me.

I’m attracted to… scrawny nerdy boys with glasses.

When people talk about me, I want them to… resist hypothesizing. I’ll answer your questions, guys. No problem.

I want people to understand… that gender isn’t a box, not even a line. It’s a friggin’ huge universe of unique and colorful nebulae, and no matter how similar they look from here, no two stars are alike.

About Jamie
I’m a shorty with an affinity for sarcasm and cynical literature. I’m big into Star Trek (TOS only though!) and romance, and some days I am possessed by an artistic demon. My baby girl is Lucy, a little white Lhasa Apso who spends her time licking things she’s not supposed to, like electrical outlets.

I am confuzzled. How can you be a femme transboy? Would you not be an effeminate transboy? Femme is a lesbian term.

The terms “femme” and “butch” are quite common among gay men, too. “Straight-acting” and “effeminate” are falling out of vogue, it seems.

I think “confuzzled” is my favourite word of the day.

Huh. I did not know that. Thanks!

Hee hee. It is a fun word, isn’t it?

Because “No matter what world Picard goes to, Kirk was there first and probably has an illegitimate child somewhere on the planet.”

That is probably the best description of gender I have ever heard. The universe is a beautiful place because of diversity. No two stars ARE ever alike. I especially love that description because I am a total space geek. I also happen to be crazy TOS fan. :D In fact, I was watching it right before I came on here. It’s wonderful to see another. I think we are a dying race.

Poor, poor Ensign Ricky. Should’a known something was up when they handed him that red shirt…

I like these comments because queer gender radicals can be part of so many different communities, and it’s nice to see that. <3

Beautiful photo and description of yourself. I think it’s awesome that you can be so open. I’m 42 now, and there just weren’t any roadmaps when I was young for people who float somewhere between the stars and planets that seem to align to one pole or other. It’s odd how culture and custom comes with a whole bunch of baggage you don’t realize while you are making it who you are. Anyway, take care and keep being real. You are a light in the dark.
