I was an inveterate tree climber and the only real fun on a swing was to go as high as you could and to then launch yourself into the air… Back when I was a child (in the 1960’s) there were much taller swings than are generally the case today. The Health and Safety folks would have a fit to see some of the high wire stuff we had at our disposal back then. One set was even set a little ways before a steep bank, so if you got enough distance you could leap off the hill.

You look like you are having a lot of fun. I wanna swing right now (while wearing my little kid dinosaur socks).

Oh yes! Looks like great fun.

When I was a kid, one of the best things I knew was jumping off swings with my eyes closed, it was so much more exciting when I didn’t know when I was going to hit the ground.

Sometimes I wonder how I survived into adulthood.

Lots of fun! Although I think I’ve gotten *too* good at it. My normal swing height involves the chains being parallel with the ground. :)
