Hard to care.

Someone wrote…

I woke up this morning in a state of utter confusion. Boy or girl? Gay or straight? What do any of those mean? My body started to feel alien, the self-loathing began to set in.

But breakfast was tasty, and the sky is just the right shade of blue, so I’m finding it hard to care.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I love this! Both paragraphs are amazing by themselves, and together they’re Bartlett’s-worthy. Plus, the 2nd paragraph applies anytime you wake up feeling unsure and/or upset about any aspect of life.

I completely understand and approve. Thank you for articulating this.
