It’s a bit strange.

Someone wrote…

I used to really like the idea of looking androgynous, but since cutting my hair in a more boyish style I’ve been dressing much more feminine. It’s a bit strange.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I can relate. I have short hair and wear pretty androgynous clothes–but right now, I also feel like my female-body is still very obviously…female. And I often think that once I've begun to transition and have a more masculine-type body, I'll definitely end up dressing more femininely.

Once I cut my hair and dressed the way I like (just on the masculine side of androgynous), and the more comfortable I get in that, the more I keep wanting to wear eyeliner. I keep telling my mom that it doesn't make me feminine, it just makes me feel like a rockstar! m/ (O.o) m/

When I first cut my hair, my parents didn’t like it at all, so I tried to compensate by dressing a bit more like a girl. A few days later I was confortable with wearing the more boyish clothes I’m more used to.
Just go with whatever makes you feel good.
