Hand-me-downs.

Someone wrote…

I don’t wear men’s clothing anymore. My wardrobe is now comprised of hand-me-downs from my girlfriends.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

I had a genderqueer clothing trade with a friend of mine, that just happened to want more boy clothes at the same time I wanted more girl clothes, and we just happened to be the same size. Lucky us!

Since I don’t try to accentuate my figure – being somewhat antique for that – a blouse is pretty much a shirt and then there’s jeans. I seldom wear skirts out, as I typically arrive on a motorcycle; ditto dresses – though I do wear both at home, especially in hot weather.

I guess I’ve never been really clothes conscious, much in the same way as I have never really spent a lot of time or effort on my “looks.” If that makes me less pretty, well, thems the cards I was dealt.
