Facebook Realization

Someone wrote…

I realized today that I only started using actual pictures of myself for my profile on Facebook after I realized I was genderqueer.

What’s your experience?

And what are you thinking about gender right now?

Me too! I find it a lot easier to allow myself to be photographed (or even enjoy the resulting pictures) now that I’m starting to understand my gender identity a little better.

I’ve only started to allow people to take pictures of me since becoming more comfortable with being uncomfortable in my skin.

Be nice. Judgmental comments will be quietly deleted and blacklisted. There's plenty of room for those elsewhere on the web.

For legal reasons, you must be age 13 or older to post a comment on Genderfork.

You can use some HTML tags for formatting, e.g. <em>...</em> for emphasis (italics) or <strong>...</strong> for strong emphasis (bold) or <a href="http://(url)">...</a> for links.
