Profile: Mordecai

You can call me… Mordecai, but Cai works just fine too.

I identify as… Non-binary/genderqueer. I’ve identified as cis-female and trans-male, but neither really felt right. Being NB feels perfect.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … They/them

I’m attracted to… Females, feminine non-binary people, it really varies, I’m just not into guys.

When people talk about me, I want them to… Refer to me by my preferred pronouns and not judge me based on my gender identity.

I want people to understand… That my gender identity has changed in the past and might change again in the future. Also, that it’s ok to ask questions and that honesty is wonderful. I’d much rather have someone be honest with me and ask a question about me (whether it has harmful intent or not) than for assumptions to be made about me and for me to conclude that it was intended to be harmful.

About Mordecai, but Cai works just fine too.
I’m Cai (as you already know). I’m non-binary and have a huge interest in both fine art and science. I currently live in BC, Canada and go to school here. I’d like to go to university and study to become a medical examiner or forensic pathologist, but also travel and do speeches about being gender non-conforming and raise awareness about it and other identities. I also play roller derby and am currently a junior skater with my town’s team. It’s a dream of mine to skate for Vagine Regime’s Canadian team one day.
