You can call me… Danny

I identify as… a panromantic, polysexual, genderfluid fishbot.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … I prefer he/him, xe/xem, or they/them. Fin/fins or bot/bots is fine, too.

I’m attracted to… pretty much anyone.

When people talk about me, I want them to… be gentle!

I want people to understand… that gender exists outside of the binary. That people think on different wavelengths. That things like sexism, ableism, transmisogyny, homo/lesbo/bi/transbigotry etc. are still problems.

About Danny
I’m Danny, I’m 17, and I’m genderfluid. I think. Gender’s weird anyway but it seems to be the closest fit so I’ll take it. I live in the US and I’m going into my senior year of high school. I like English and learning about different cultures.

You can call me… Andy

I identify as… Genderqueer female.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … Don’t know. Everyone I know calls me she/her/herself, but I’m not thrilled with it since I discovered there are options.

I’m attracted to… Men.

When people talk about me, I want them to… respect me for valid reasons.

I want people to understand… that nobody has life figured out.

About Andy
I don’t really do self-promotion. That being said, I’m 30, faab, but definintely more in-touch with my masculine side. I’m a diesel mechanic, or I at least I like to think I am. I’m not unfriendly, but I come off that way because I’m socially awkward.

You can call me… Destin.

I identify as… an omnisexual gynephilic genderqueer polyamorous female atheist, feminist, vegetarian, and social justice warrior.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … I don’t like how awkward gender-neutral pronouns are. She/her/hers, he/him/his, they/them/theirs are all okay – call me what feels comfortable to you. I told Facebook to use gender-neutral pronouns to describe me.

I’m attracted to… primarily females/women/femininity romantically, emotionally, and sexually; trans*/genderqueer folks sexually; everyone else besides cishet male mainstreamers emotionally and demi-sexually. Intelligence, emotional maturity, creativity, open-mindedness, individuality, independence, wisdom, insight, and vision.

When people talk about me, I want them to… see me as I truly am, not as they want me to be. I want them to care enough to want to get to know and understand the real me.

I want people to understand… Labels are simple. Individual realities are complicated. I’m complicated.

About Destin.
The pic is of me at 14. I’m 23 now, but I pretty much look the same. I started this site for gender and sexual minorities called Queer Social Justice. Our website is queersocialjustice.weebly.com – I’m Captain Jackelyn Harkness-Sparrow on there.

You can call me… Carol / Talyn

I identify as… Transgender androgyne, biologically female but I have my doubts about that sometimes. Bisexual, but have been alone for more years than I care to ponder.

As far as third-person pronouns go, … Female pronouns okay, have gone by them all my life, but as you will.

I’m attracted to… Intelligence, sense of humor, people who are deeper than a kiddie pool. A love of science, computers, the future. Physically, I seem to go for either elven-type long-haired men as eyecandy but androgynous people like myself for real-life long-term.

When people talk about me, I want them to… See past their confused perceptions of me and see me as a person, pure and simple.

I want people to understand… Not everyone has to play the game to get along in the world. Being on the outside means I have a unique and valid perspective on the world. Take a chance and ask me about it. What I say might open your eyes.

About Carol / Talyn
Middle-aged transgender androgyne; I play World of Warcraft, watch a lot of science documentaries, hold down a full time job, make pickles, try to be a tea connoisseur, ponder the post-human future, and am trying to work up the courage to attend a Pride event.

I identify as… an agender person who presents themself as masculine

As far as third-person pronouns go, … ‘they’ please :)

I’m attracted to… a nice personality? what i find attractive varies with each individual. otherwise i dont really define my sexuality

When people talk about me, I want them to… not make a big deal over my gender/sexuality. i just want to do my own thing.

I want people to understand… that i prefer not to be gendered. also, to not base my worth on my appearance. i think what a person does is more important than what they look like.

About K
I’m an artist about to leave art school to go to art college. While away from home, I want to further explore my gender identity, especially in my art. Making art is a huge aspect of my life and has helped me express my viewpoints in a way that I cant with words. Maybe by making art about my gender identity, i could reach out to others who are going through the same thing. Hope that doesnt sound too corny ^^”

You can call me… Ash

I identify as… Bigender

As far as third-person pronouns go, … She/her is fine, as are he/him and they/them, as long as you’re not nasty about it

I’m attracted to… I’m a grey-asexual panromantic, so I’m attracted to people based on their personality as opposed to their gender or appearance, and very, very rarely experience sexual attraction.

When people talk about me, I want them to… look at my achievements and who I am as a person, rather than what my gender may be or whether or not I fit their idea of masculine or feminine

I want people to understand… Not everyone’s gender identity fits completely into a little box – there’s a lot of overflow and shifting about.

About Ash
I’ve only recently started to identify as bigender, having struggled with my body type for most of my teenage years. I’ve not been able to pass as male since I was fourteen, when my bust really started coming in, but now I’m looking into a reduction to make binding easier on my male days (and also to get rid of my back problems)

I’m attracted to… Female-bodied people of all sorts, especially genderqueer/masculine female bodied people. I’m also attracted to trans men that self-define as outside the binary. It’s just cis-men that I’m not attracted to (although I can appreciate a good looking cis-guy :-) )

When people talk about me, I want them to… talk about my interests and my intellect, and think about me as a person, not a gender.

I want people to understand… that I’m still trying to figure my gender out, and I’m happy for people to join me on this journey :-)

About Oisín (although most people know me as Niamh – I’m in the process of changing that! :-) )
I came out initially as bisexual, then lesbian, then queer, then genderqueer, and now trans. It’s been a learning curve that continues on but life gets better and better as I learn more about myself. :-)
